The Worm Moon comes when spring is truly right around the corner. It is only a couple weeks away. The world around us is changing. The weather is warming. Plants are springing forth, growing and blooming.

We too are changing and awakening. Shaking off the cold and gloom of the past months. Getting ready to make moves to accomplish our goals. As we welcome these changes internally, we can bring in the warmth of the future and the world around us by spending some time outside. Soak up some nature during this month of early spring.
Benefits of Being Outside
Taking some time to be outside has many benefits for your physical and mental health. Those benefits can include:
Improved sleep
Lower stress
Lower cortisol levels
Release muscle tension
Increase focus
Lower risk of depression
Increase Vitamin D
Strengthen immune system
Boosted creativity
Increased energy
All good things! All good things!
How and What to Do
Now you don’t have to immediately jump straight into 14 mile hikes or a week of camping. (If you want to, go for it though!) Begin with sitting outside for five minutes. Or take a walk up and down your street. Maybe work up to going to a park. Take your time and move at a pace that works for you.
Make it an intentional time. Notice the flowers blooming. The leaves getting fuller in the trees. The birds and bugs flying about. Listen to the sounds around you. The wind. Cars. People. Animals. Touch something. The grass. Leaves. A flower petal. The bark on a tree. Make an effort to intentionally soak in your surroundings. Find the beauty in the world around you.
Remember. You deserve to care for yourself, inside and out. Take that time. You are incredible. You can do it. Have a wonderful Worm Moon! I love you.
