When and How Do I Self-Care?

First thing to note is, this will be completely different for you. You may not connect with anything I am saying.... And that is completely okay. The beauty of this world is that everyone likes and connects to different things. I strongly believe that there isn't one thing in the world that everyone is going to enjoy. For example: Everyone loves chocolate, right?


I, Chelsea Mahala, am not a huge fan of chocolate.

This doesn't mean I don't enjoy a good brownie or chocolate mocha. It's just not on the top list of things I would love to enjoy.

When it comes to candy, I will reach for the sour fruity candy first.

This one is my all time favorite and I will eat the whole bag in one sitting. EASY

You may look at that bag of candy and would never touch it in a million years. More for me! 😁


My Self-Care requires connecting with my body.

Connecting with my body is HUGE for me. Things like dancing, working out, taking a bath, using a sugar scrub or lotion. These things help me stop time and really just be with myself and my body.

These moments I give myself to really just be alone and completely aware of the how my body feels when music is playing. I allow my body to just be and do whatever weird, crazy, or smooth movement it wants it. I give up my control to the music, but this also allows me to feel in complete control.


So I take the extra time I need to really connect and remind myself who I am.

Looking inside and learning what I like.... what I don't like..... Who I want to be.... what do I really believe... What do I want to believe and learn more about...

There's so much that we can learn about ourselves if we just take the time to pause and be with ourselves.



The world around us is constantly Go.... Go..... Go....

Us, as humans do not need to function like that. We can pause and breathe and really just be. You do not need to be constantly in a race.

No one ever has life figured out, we are all just living day by day and dealing with what life throws at us.

Live Your Life

You have full control over the life that you want and get to live. Make decisions and plan a way to get to where you want to be. Anything is possible, if there is a will there is a way.

While you are planning and working towards your dream, don't forget to live today like it was your last.

There are so many missed moments if you are constantly focused on the end goal. Be happy now! Choose to enjoy today, while you work for that big dream future.
