January 2023 Wolf Moon and how to use it for you!


Wolf Moon Self Care: Self-Reflection and Pack Connection

Self care is not just physical acts to care for and love on our body. We have to remember to take time to care for and love on our badass brains and souls too. January’s Wolf Moon is the perfect time to do just that as its energy is focused on self-reflection and connecting with our “pack.” The goal of these actions is to start the new year off with peace, clarity, gratitude, and love.


Self-Reflection

Sit by yourself with a pen and paper. Breathe. Get comfortable. It’s time to check in with yourself. What are you feeling? What are your desires? What needs to change to bring you all the best things life has to give? Write it all down. It doesn’t need to be organized. Allow yourself to simply let it all out in this moment. This is a time of no judgment or suppression. This is an exercise of observing and embracing and letting go.


Once you’ve finished writing, give yourself a pat on the back. It’s not always easy to let go and express as you just did. Now, if you’re ready, you can review what came out. Look over what was written. You can begin to see the patterns and paths your brain took. You can start to organize your ideas, thoughts, and feelings. You can begin to plan how to reach the goals and dreams you’ve expressed. You can make decisions on how to act.


Making the most of this self-reflection exercise during the month of the Wolf Moon can bring more peace, clarity, direction, and purpose into your life as you start this new year.


Connecting with your “pack”

Acknowledging and honoring your connections with those in your “pack” is something you can make an effort to think about throughout the month, or during a specific time of meditation (like during your self-reflection).


During January, take the time to really think about those who you consider part of your “pack.” Those who are closest to you. Those you reach out to for help, support, love, joy. Those you feel safe with and protected by. Feel and know you are supported and loved by them. Know you are not alone. Know you are protected. Express your gratitude for them to the universe, your higher power, and them directly. Text them. Call them. Hug them. Thank them. Send peace and love to them. Reassure them you have their back as much as they have yours. Use this month to make a habit of strengthening your relationship with your pack throughout the year.


Begin this new year with gratitude, love, and strength hand-in-hand (metaphorically and physically) with your pack and take life on together.



Remember. You deserve to care for yourself, inside and out. Take that time. You are incredible. You can do it. Have a wonderful Wolf Moon, and welcome to your New Year!
