Harvest Moon Self-Care: Express Your Gratitude

Updated: Oct 4, 2023

September’s Harvest moon is a time of prosperity when you will reap the benefits of all your hard work. It is a time to enjoy and appreciate all you have in your life. The people. The accomplishments. The abundance. It is a time to express gratitude for all those things as well.

Make a List

Take the time to reflect on your life. Think of all of the things, people, places, achievements, lessons, situations, etc. in your life that you are grateful for. Now write them down. All of it. Everything you can think of. Small things like snacks in your pantry or a certain song. To bigger things like friends, family, and/or relationships or big life lessons you have grown from.

Make a big ol’ list of gratitude and bask in it. See all of the wonder and love and amazement in your life. Really take it all in.

Express Your Gratitude

Once you’ve made your list of gratitude. The next step is to express some of that gratitude. Share it! Your gratitude can be shared with anyone or anything. It can be to a friend. A coworker. A client. A significant other or family member. It can be to an organization. Or specific business. It can be expressed to and shared with yourself. Say thank you. Give a hug. Write a letter. Volunteer. Donate. Help out. Take care of something or someone. Make it known you appreciate that person or thing adding to your life.

Whoever or however you do it, remember expressing gratitude is one of those things that lights up both the person who expresses it and the one that receives it. It is a gift that keeps on giving.

Remember. You deserve to care for yourself, inside and out. Take that time. You are incredible. You can do it. Have a wonderful Harvest Moon! I love you.
